On April 18, President Trump signed an executive order (EO) that directs federal agencies to review employment immigration laws to promote “hire American” policies. In the case of H1-B visas, these agencies are tasked with suggesting which changes will be implemented to ensure the visas are awarded to the most skilled, best-paid immigrant workers. The EO does not create new obligations or institute new legal requirements for employers. The effect the EO will have on the H-1B program will only be known after each department conducts a full legal analysis of the existing program.

During this webinar, we’ll review the executive order, go over changes to the H-1B program that have already taken effect, and look at changes that may occur down the road. Our presenters have expertise at the legal and federal policy level, as well as experience with campus implementation.

Time will be reserved toward the end of the webinar for questions and answers. You may submit questions in advance using the link in your confirmation e-mail.
